Conclave will have honored masquerade judges to bestow the awards. Door Prizes will be awarded to lucky, lucky audience members. Judging happens after a short Halftime show with talent to be announced.
Come join the fun and welcome our talented costumers on stage for all to see and appreciate. All Costumers are welcome to compete at our Masquerade, but preparation is necessary.
See our site for a copy of the Rules and a contestant form, and drop in on the Saturday Morning Q&A session if you’re new to competition.

updated comment:
Everyone interested in staffing Conclave 34’s Masquerade, Masquerade Muster, Build-it Competition and Q&A Panel – this note is for you. Comment on this note to add yourself to the conversation. If you aren’t working the con this year, don’t comment.
Feel free to suggest volunteers. I suppose you can do this by pointing them to the masquerade announcement on Facebook or sharing this note with them. I’m not absolutely certain how we’ll work it here but I feel like experimenting.
Post as if nothing here is private. You volunteer to work at will and we discuss the event openly. That’s just how Facebook works. That said, I’ll post more on the Masquerade and answer any questions you might have if this doesn’t answer them right off.
1) Membership is mandatory. You must register for the convention to enter the programming space. DON’T bypass registration or ghost the convention and expect to work the masquerade. It is a security risk.
2) Membership fees are reimbursed after the convention. Volunteers must claim a reimbursement check for money put down at registration (not including table fees for dealers). YOU must contact THEM to confirm that you want the reimbursement. The default action is to cash your check so DON’T DELAY if you need that reimbursement. Any questions message Jody or Patricia. They are Concom members. It behooves you to email them at the same time to ensure they get the message.
Masquerade Q&A – 1 hr credit. Open to past judges, staff and current MC.
Build-it Competition – 2hrs credit. Referee and helper. Up to two other helpers. Videographer. Setup one hour before competition, one hour of competition.
Masquerade Muster/Stage setup – 1 hr credit. Muster crew of at least four. All judges. MC. Photographer. 1 Door guard three hours duty from Ops. 2 Stagehands two hours duty from Ops.
Masquerade Competition – 1 hr credit. MC. Judges. Muster staff. Door guard and stagehands carry over.

More soon can’t find me notes. Or I forgot. Kick me.
Just an FYI to clarify: Conclave will be issuing the complimentary memberships at their sole discretions, not us.
If they invite an MC they give that MC a comp if they haven’t already. Any comp membership you get from Conclave is between you and Conclave based on your past with the convention, which I don’t have a bit of control over. Best I can offer is to have volunteers on standby in case they come up short by Sept 10. Staff and panel duty is just as good as a comp and yields much gratitude in a time of dire need. The only difference really is that it’ll be too late to put you in the program book as the superstar that you are.
